The free mistika insight made this application much more accessible to a wider audience recently, and it's definitely worth to study the specific qualities of this alternative solution. Sorry - it's not my code! i wrote similar stuff for nuke studio/hiero and open source video software on linux, but i'm also quite new to mistika. Don't own/know Mistika but looking at you development it seems pretty nice what you did there.
